Another of my fish died last night, the male guppy then today I noticed the neons and platys were acting strange. One of the neons has died and the rest are very quiet. The baby angels and the mollies seem to be fine. I researched it and I think it is Chilodonella, it looks like there is dust in the water and it is sticking to the fish. One of the platys fins has clamped together. It seems like I am having issue after issue. What can I do/use to get rid of the parasites?

I would be weary of such a quick diagnosis simply because this parasite is not easily visible and many parasitic illnesses present themselves in the same way. Is the set-up new? If so it may not be fully mature leading to problems with ammonia/nitrite. Have you tested your water? If not, this should always be your first course of action. If this checks out ok then an anti-parasite medication could be used closely following the doseage instructions. Ensure any carbon is removed from your filtration first. Good luck.

The set up is not new, I do not have a water testing kit as the tank was given to me a few weeks ago. I have been to all local pet shops and none are open, I can see another neon has started to die, I can't buy anything until the morning. I did about a 60% water change and whatever it is stuck to the filter, it is around the fishs mouth and fins. The platys are rubbing themselves off ornaments and one of there fins is clamped. Is there anything I can do?
