Hi everyone,
Has anyone ever used "Parasite clear tank buddies"? If so please post your experience with it. I am using it right now so im just curious ;)
Thanks :kana:

I used them and they worked great for my tank. No more white poo and no more flicking against stuff in my tank. I treated twice though. 12 tablets each time, then did a 25% water change and then treated again 2 days after. :D Goodluck!

Hey,
Im on my second treatment too. But I only put 1 tablet in each time... You said something about 12 tablets? And I did a water change before the first and second tablet.
My female guppy (the one that started everything) seems to be getting better, like only some (parts of) her poo is white. The others appear to be ok.
What type of fish did you treat?
Thanks ;)

I treated a 120 gallon tank. Each tablet treats 10 gallons so I treated with 12 tablets. I have a whole bunch of community fish in my tank..clown loaches, mollies, platies, catfish, etc.

I filled up a bucket with my tank water and threw the carbon pads in there. I then added a little pinch of fish food to the bucket to let the bacteria feed on that everyday. After the first day of treatment there was a little white poo, but the day after it was gone.

Ok so what if my carbon stuff is dry? I took it out for the first treatment and its been out since than.....
Thanks

you'll probably have a mini-cycle when you put it back in again. that's ok, just do lots of water changes...

best of luck!

It is kind of like your tank cycling all over again, but on a smaller scale. That's why it is called a mini-cycle. The bacteria on your carbon was left out in the air and has died, so you don't have anymore "good bacteria" on your carbon. You will still have it in the gravel though. Since most of the "good bacteria" is in the filter, your tank will probably go into a mini-cycle. You may see signs of nitrites and high nitrates, so I would do plenty of water changes until your filter is running again with the carbon so it can pick up the bacteria again.

Ok thanks ;)
My guppy and one of my platties is still having white poo.... Will it be gone by tomorrow? If not should I treat again?
Thanks ;)
