i have one male paradise fish by himself in a 20L tank, i am wanting to upgrade to a 60L, would i be able to add a male black paradise fish, 6 ruby barbs and 10 clown Killis and some glass shrimp? or will the male paradise fish be 2 agressive?, or would it be better to have 2 female black paradise fish?
thanx in advance Vampire.

Absolutely not. 60 litres is still only 15 gallons and only just large enough for a single paradisefish. Keeping two males of any type would lead to a fight - usually to the death - and females are treated in an equally unfriendly way.

The tank would also be too small for ruby barbs which are active fish. I'd actually feel quite uncomfortable with them in anything under 30 gallons (but 20 is alright). The killies would be killed (the barbs could also be killed but are faster).

Shrimp could be worth trying if the tank's heavily planted. Sometimes they'll be ignored.

BTW, even if you skipped the paradisefish and ignored the activity level of ruby barbs, the tank would be overstocked.

I'm not a particularly big killifish fan but I would suggest that those (and the shrimp) are the only fish in your plan suited to the 15 gallon (seperate to the paradisefish which really would benefit from something larger than the tank it's in now). So if you decide not to upgrade for the paradisefish, go ask in the killifish subforum: http://www.fishforums.net/Killifish-f104.html what would make suitable tankmates and how many clown killies is a good idea for a 15 gallon.

thanks for the advise guesse hes staying by himself then. this is why i asked as i have never had these fish before. it is better i aksed than making the mistake of adding other fish.
