I read somewhere that you should not clean the outside (or inside for that matter) of an acrylic tank with paper towel. How do i get fingerprints, etc. off of the outside surfaces.

Can I use clothes like those used for LCD or plasma displays (Microfiber)?

Strangly enough paper towels can sometimes badly scratch glass and acrylic. Best bet is to use a soft cotton duster or like you said a microfiber cloth.

Wow really?

I use paper towels with a bit of cleaning spray on them (sprayed on in the other room of course) to do the front of my tanks. Haven't noticed any scratches yet....

I use them to wipe the algae off the inside of my betta tanks when I'm doing 100% changes too...

They use it at the LFS as well when cleaning algae off the insides, I've seen them do it....
