could any thing in my sig eaten them, they were bigger than my neons and harlequins!!!!

Hi,

1x red claw crab
1x common plec
2x firemouths
2x neon tetra
4x harlequins
1x Hatchetfish
1x Black ghost knife
2x anglefish
1x black shark
3x clown loach

depending on the size of your fish the firemouths, BGK, angels, clown loach, black shark could have eaten them. Also i wouldn't trust a crab with small fish. I wouldn't hold out much hope for the neons, harlequins and hatchet living with the BGK. Do you plan to upgrade soon as black sharks and BGKs get massive, the clowns will ultimately need more space too.

Emma -_-

I had two pandas disappear from a tank with just white skirt tetras and diamond tetras in. I agree that there are a few possible culprits in your tank though. Even if they didnt actually kill them crabs will easily eat the body.

emma hi there all quite small at the mo as the firemouth being the largest at about 3"
my harlequins are quite large and think that they will be safe as my tank is quite deep but not to fussed about trhe neons as they were only there to spped the cycleing time up..

My money is on the crab, if not as a predator then as the body disposal mechanism.

As Emma says, were your fish fully grown they would be queuing up to munch on them.

Particularly, don't underestimate your BGKF, mine is a monster especially at night and their growth rates can be incredible.

Hi beechey :)

Do you mean C. pandas?

If so, they are either hiding in fear of their lives, or dead of a bacterial infection due to the stress of being in a tank with that assortment of fish. They are one of the most delicate corys and many people cannot keep them alive under the best of circumstances. They were a very poor choice for your tank.

they both seemed fine thou very happy always together swimming around eatting fine, then both just disappered.. ..

never mind i wont be buying them again..

crabs really aren't suitable for community tanks, it needs a seperate tank, with space to get out at the top. You also really need to look at your stock list, neons in with angels and BGN really isn't a good idea. Also neons and hatchet fish should be in shoals of at least 3 (the more the better)

I've heard many many times of pandas just dying all of a sudden or disappearing. Its just one of those fish, like the oto's. The ones disappearing are probably dying and then being eaten.
