Panda Loach? Jaguar Loach

Hi,

I was in my LFS in Glasgow and seen some cool looking loaches that were advertised as Jaguar Loaches (and previously Panda Loaches).

The guys in the shop knew very little about them

They are similar to the Yoyo in shape but have a strip then 3 dots then a strip etc along their body.

Has anyone seen these? Does anyone know their latin name or anything else about them?

ive just had a look on google.com and it didnt find any pics of jaguar or panda loaches.......

what i did find was that the jaguar loach is also the indian cat eye loach....gongota was the only latin name i could see but im not sure whether thats it

If it's similer to a Yoyo then it's a Botia species. Could be anything from a Rostrata to a Histronica. Very wide range but the Colour will help more plus a Pic.
