Pale Shrimp

is there a reason why my cherry shrimp are pale? also how could i get them to be a deep red?

Could be they are males which are lighter than the females. It can also be that they are approaching a molt and will return afterward more brightly colored until the next molt.

oh ok, i am pretty sure i have 2 females and one male (is this a good ratio?)
also two have already molted
i only have 3 though
