3 or 4 weeks ago I added a Red Spotted Golden Severem to my 90 gallon aquarium. I have had 2 lg Paired angelfish for over 1 1/2 years.
The Severum is 3 to 3 1/2 " and the Angelfish are Lg twice the size as the Severum.
My Angelfish are Male and Female, Paired and lip lock and nip and tug at eatch other all the time.
In the past week or so I have noticed the Red Sptted Golden Severum has been chassing the Angels areound the tank almost like he wants in on the Action.
I'm not sure if its aggression or they are just playing. I dont think my angels look at it as Playing. I would hate to take the severum back . Has anyone else had this type of behavior and is it normal, or should I return the Severum.
It is also a bit more difficult at feeding time because the Severum is like a vacume, it is so fast and gobbles up all the food. I have to kind of try feeding the angels at the other end of the aquarium while feeding the severum so he does not bolt around and eat all the food.
Thanks Everyone, looking forward ot some help here.

He may well be trying to establish dominance in the tank, even at that size, severums do like to be king of their homes, I doubt he will do them any harm as they arent nippy fish. You dont say if you have any other fish in the tank with them, do you? If not, some kind of dither fish, in the form of some larger sized tetras or barbs may help as it will give the severum something else to concentrate on.

Yes, I have other fish in the tank. The only aggression is almost always the Angelfish as they are paired. They nip, and lip lock and beat each other up all the time. I guess that is what Male and Females do
My fish load is as follows.

2 Lg paired Male/Female Angelfish use to lay eggs every 11 days
2 Clownloaches
12 Rummynose Tetra
2 Osc Catfish small buggers for alge control
1 SM Royal Pleco
1 SM Flash Pleco - The Pleco's have no problems together
6 Coradora Catfish
1 3" to 3 1/2 " Red Spotted Golden Severum
1 4" Flying Fox - Minds his own business :good:
1 7" or 8" Black Ghost Knife - Comes out at night , no problems with aggression with him.
