Pair of Fancy Gupies

Can a pair of Fancy Gupies live in a 5.5g tank? I'm just wondering becuase I pulled out my very first fishtank that i got back when i was about 5. It's 5.5g and it's cycling for my platy becuse i believe she's going to be giving birth soon. So I wanted to know if a pair of fancies could live in there when she's done giving birth and once the fry are big enough to go into the 29g.

Sure, 5.5 gallons would be fine for a pair of guppies, although that pair will quickly become more I'm sure you know

a friend of my mothers, who I've tried to tell her she has to many in that kind of tank... there is like 15 guppies male and females and babies in a 5.5 gallon tank and they are happy little things.... she hasn't killed any of her fish and she's had them for years... she brings me 6 and lol well I killed them all but I still have all their babies 55 of them and 12 from one I bought but only 9 lived... in all I have 64 fry.....

so I think a pair of guppies can live in a 5.5 gallon

should be fine, in a small tank if you dont put many hiding places in any babies that would over crowd the tank will get eaten by mummy n daddy
