Hey I was not informed and bought a ten gallon tank and had many small fish att first.

About four months later I had a tank with a five inch Pacu and three common goldfish! So liking the Pacu I bought a 55 gallon tank and put him and the three goldfish in it.. Now Ineed help what do I do? The tank is HUGE and the Pacu is getting bigger and getting along with the four inch goldfish.. Should I separate them? and if so what can I get to keep me Pacu (that is now about eight inches) happy for a friend?

P.S. the goldfish and the Pacu seem to be friends

First of all, pacu's are tropical fish (temp around 76 to 80F) while goldfish are temperate (need a little lower temp, usually room temp, around 70F). Secondly, your pacu can get upwards of 20" and unless you have a 150G (atleast) tank waiting for him, then take it back to the lfs. Sorry to be kind of negative but if the lfs sold you all these fish knowing you had a ten gallon then I would not trust any other advice they give you as either they know dick, or they dont have your best interest in mind
