Oxygen in water

There is a test for dissolved O2 tests, I know that. That's as far as my knowledge goes.

Do you feel your fish don't have enough O2, or just taking precaustions?

I don't test for it really, my fish are fine, so I wouldn't know.

I noticed this morning they were all kind of gasping for air. Someone had mentioned the tank may be lacking in oxygen. So that is why I was wondering.

Has your filter clogged/slowed down or is not causing surface movement? That is the usual cause. What sort of filter is it?

It is a new rena xp that I installed last month, seems to be running fine. The water was also very cloudy this morning(grayish white color)
