Hi,

im a complete newbie at this and just setting up, do i need to oxegenate the tank and if so how much?. the reason i ask is i have just been reading the filter instructions and it says you dont have to use the adapter to add air to your flo.

Thanks

Of course fish need oxygen, but this is absorbed into the water from the water surface; it doesn't get put in there by bubbles.

So, as long as your filter is rippling the surface of the water (so that all the water gets a chance to absorb the oxygen) then, no, you don't need to run any extra air.

It is always useful to have some way of adding extra oxygen, as some medications and diseases can reduce either the oxygen levels, or the fish's ability to absorb it, but you don't need it all the time :)
