Evening all,

My friends tank has gone belly up  , so i've got his fish in my tank,

My tank is now way overstocked

The fish have enough room to swim and i'm only holding them till my mate gets his new tank cycled, -_-

Obviously i don't wanna compromise my fish or the tank so would it be best for me to do a 30% water change every day to be on the safe side?

Many thanks in advance,

Mark.

i would do 50% twice daily for 2 weeks, or until the ammonia/nitrite spikes have gone

Sorry, forgot to mention this part,

I've had them in for 3 days now and have been testing the water twice a day, so far so good, all my levels are what they were before i added his fish

Ph 7.2
Ammonia 0
NitrITE 0
NitrATE <0.25

Ok i've got a 110 ltr tank, with 6 plattys, 7 glowlight tetras, 2 balloon mollies, 5 male guppies and a bristlenose catfish, loads of live plants, bogwood and a small terracotta plant pot.

Just added 2 black neons and 4 peppered cories.

My tank is just over 6 weeks old and i've only recently finished a fish-in cycle.

I wouldn't worry too much as your water stats are absolutely fine.
Just keep an eye on water quality for the next two or three days and if anything changes, then do a water change.
Other than that, I would just continue with your weekly water changes.
