Overfed Fish.............help

Came back from work to find all my fish, even yoyo loaches all at surface gasping for air. I looked in bottom of tanbk and saw LOADS of uneaten food. Turns out my flatmate fed them a "little too much". Naturally i went ape!

I hoovered what i can, and turned the air pump on full, and also put an airline into the external filter so more ait is diffused. Did a 20% water change. Do i need to do anything else?

over several days do small water changes to lower the toxins and also clean any filters in some seperated aquarium water as excess organic sludge will make nitrates rocket.

Test water stats in a couple of hours if still abit high, do another water change.
