As mentioned by almost every expert. It is wise to treat ICK for a longer period that what is suggested. i.e. 10 days instead of 3 (proposed by most medication directives). So i treated my tank for about 10 days; after the 5th day, i used half of dose. During that period, temperature was @ 29 degrees. However, i havent done any water change for 10 days. And my fishes seem to be weak and they cannot control thereselves anymore. Also, they wont eat. They would bang the wall by loosing control. And sadly, one of my angels died. I am almost positive that this is a OD problem as my tank is cycled and all readings are 0.

The other one; i moved it to another tank without any medication. I removed the filter as this create current too strong for the fish to handle (at this point). I put salt + airstone. And after a day; he seems to be wanting to eat again. however, he still look very weak. I planned to do a daily water change for a week until he is fully recovered.(if he doesnt die)

As for the main tank, i did 50% water change. Should that be correct? I see that the foam media is blue due to the ick medicine. How can i clean that; if it has to be cleaned?

Thanks

What medication did you use ?
Put some active carbon in your filter to remove the excess medication. I wouldnt worry about the filter media being stained, its only the dye in the liquid which does that.

OK - just add some carbon into your filter for a week ish and it should remove the medications. Small regular water changes should also help. I would do 10% ish a day for the next few days until the fish start to recover. Ich medications can take their toll on the fish. I onyl ever treat for another 2/3 days after its gone, but I usually do a water change at that point before the last one so levels dont get too high.
