Over Stocked Tank

Hi everyone,

My mum's tank is 110 litres and one day she replaced a swordtail with 2 platties. Unfortunately the 2 platties have turned into about 50. You can see different fry every day.

It's now so bad that mum was the tank to be changed to a smaller tank without the platties. As pet shops do not take fish in what can i do with them?

The tank stock is:

50+ platties
2 lemon tetras
5 neon tetras
3 corys

I have a 60 litre tank that mum is more than happy to have as a replacement for the 110 litre tank. She wants to keep the neons and corys.
Does anyone have an ideas on what i can do with the other fish?

Hi, you could try posting this in the buy,sell,swap thread (near the bottom of this forum!).

Offer them as free to good home, let people know whereabouts you are in the country, you might get people who are after Platties!

If not, are there no LFS in your area, who would take them off your hands? Phone around and ask, it never hurts to ask
