unfortunately just got an outbreak of whitespot over the last couple of days from a newly introduced fish/LFS water, now all of my fish are infected. 
got all the treatments and temp sorted to hopefully get rid of it, but what is it that actually kills the fish?
I know the parasite obviously eats its way into the fish flesh and then busts out, is it this that kills the fish or secondary infections? Seems a pretty dumb parasite that kills its host?
None of the info sites on ich seem to actually state what it is that kills the fish?
