Fish Fanatic
I have been handed some goldfish food which has originally came from a Pet Shop free of charge.
The expiry dates on the food range from September 2011 on the Tetra Goldfish flakes to April 2005
on the Supa Ant Eggs (they're even in the old-style Supa tub!).
In total I have 6 tubs of food that are all out of date, however I would like to know if it's just a case of binning them of if they have any use or can be used at all.
Obviously, I wouldn't eat something that has a best before date of 2005 on it, but i'm not sure how strict these dates are for fish food (in the case of the September 2011 Tetra Goldfish flakes).
I'd like to stress that I have no intention of feeding my fish anything that would cause them any ill health just for the sake of saving £5-10.
Cheers,
