lovely tank, i would love a planted tank like that, looks hard work

Sort of, lots of pruning and daily fertiliser doing regime.

great tank whats the stocking for it

Plants:-

Ludwigia Natans
Hygrophila Difformis
Ammania Senegalensis
Sinnersia Rivularis
Bacopa Monnieri
Microsorium Pteropus (normal, philipine and wendelovii)

Cryptocoryne Wendtii
Echinodorus Parvaflorus
Nymphae Stellata
Echinodorus Red Flame
Echinodorus Cordifolius 'Marble Queen'
Java Moss
Flame Moss
Riccia Fluitans
Cryptocoryne Cordata
Cryptocoryne Griffithii (miss-identified by the seller as Cordata and mixed in with it. lol)
Alternanthera Reineckii 'lilacina' - Bought for my wife as she loves purple, of course it's turned green. lol lol
Eleocharis Parvulus (dwarf hairgrass lol)
3 Seedlings of a currently unknown type that seem to have come in in seed form with the dwarf hair grass, the leaf edges look like some sort of Alternanthera however.
Vallisneria Spiralis (thrown out weekly. lol)

Fish and other livestock:-

2 Pairs powder blue dwarf gourami
the wife's platies, quite a few and growing, they ARE going in a tank I am buying for my wife at christmas..... lol
16 Neon tetra
10 Cherry Barbs
8 Khuli loaches
Shelly the pleco (middle daughters pet. sigh)
1 Rasbora Espei - Not deliberately stocked, he came with a batch of amano shrimp as a contaminant. lol Poor little thing. Wife has named this Harry, if we don't get it company though I fear she will regret naming it. :(
Unknown number of cherry shrimp (we started with 12, but they have bred since then, but we only ever see 3 at most at any 1 time. lol)
15 Caridina Multidentata (the Amano shrimp that came with Harry. lol).
Too many snails, can't use copper for obvious reasons though. lol They don't do enough damage to be a concern though really. (anybody want some? lol)

Uhm, I think that's everything. lol

Before anybody asks, filtration consists of a JBL CristalProfi 250 and an old Fluval 2 packed with floss, heater is a 200 watt Rena Smart heater plumbed in as the filter intake, CO2 is pressurised with a glass rhinox type diffuser at about 30ppm and lighting is 4 x 39watt T5 HO tubes in a Luminaire from EQJ Trading on ebay (tubes consist of 2 Osram Lumilux T5HO 865s, 1 10000k thing that came with and 1x Aquamedic Planta tube). Ferts consist of 5mls of Tropica Plant Nutrition + a day, I did up this to 9mls at one point but my shrimp didn't thank me for this (lost all 4 of my macrobrachium assamensis) so it got dropped back down again. Shrimp definitely DO NOT like excessive fert dosing!

Uhm, I need to add one more species to the stock list, Macrobrachium probably Assamensis! Reason I didn't put hese on before as the 4 I had completely vanished (and I mean vanished! I had searched the plants, moved the wood and overturned the coconut caves!) so we had decided that they must have died or climbed out. 1 Week later, after having reduced dosing of TPN+ from 9msl to 5mls a day (high levels of dosing really DON'T suit shrimp, and 1 macro definitely was killed as I found it's dead and stinking corpse) and we just spotted one of them come walking out from the back! So possibly there are 3 macrobrachium sp in there, at least 1.
