Hi just thought i'd post my tank pics for all to see and cast an opinion.

Only a few fish in there at the moment,

1 x Bronze Cory

3 x Glowlight Tetras (may add more)

2 x Boesemani Rainbows

The wife would like some angel fish, not sure if they'd be ok or not, any other recommendations?

Around the same size as a Trigon190, got it off ebay and it was listed as a Juwel Trigon I think it may be an older model although i'm not 100% sure, it does have a Juwel filter in it though (i know that doesn't make it a Juwel tank).

I wouldnt get Angels, if anything id get more Boesman Rainbow fish, they are a shoaing fish so really should be in groups of 4-5 min.

I agree. In addition, I would increase your tetra school and the amount of corydoras. I like the addition of some live plants. How are they doing? It doesn't seem like you have a lot of light in there, but I could be wrong.

llj :)

I intend to increase the tetras and maybe add another cory tomorrow, and if i can persuede the wife I will add a couple more rainbows. The light is a 15w single (it came with the tank) the plants seem to be ok so far :)
Pics to follow

Just remember all the fish ou have Tetra, Boesmans & Cory are all communal fish so love being with more of their own kind. You will see much more of the true fish is you keep it as would be in the wild.

10+ tetra, 4-5 + Rainbow and 4-5+ Cory ;)

As an update, the tetra colony is now up to ten and the rainbows have two more friends to swim with :)

Is there any particular reason why Angels wouldn't be a good idea?

Andy

Another update, although very delayed, may add some pics another time.

Against my better judgement the wife came home with two angels which are doing fine but can be a bit of a bully
Tetra colony went up to 9 but we have lost two recently
Two red rams have been added (think that's what they're called)
4 apple snails added
1 congo frog (fun to watch)
The cory is still on his/her own and seems to be none the worse for it,
The four Rainbows are still doing well

I'm hoping we're not overstocked LFS seems to think we're OK, only problem I seem to have is bloody green algie (any ideas)?

Also what would be a decent external filter for a tank this size, as stated in my previous post it's almost the same as a Trigon190?

Andy

the cory would really benefit from having a few friends as they a social fish, keep an eye on the angels with the tetras, they may be small now but when they grow they turn nasty

The angels are quite big now  (I'll add some pic soon) they don't seem to bother the tetra's that much, it's the rainbows that they like to chase but they are too quick for them.

Like I said, I don't want to add more fish for fear of over stocking, although I would consider adding more cory's if any of the others died (hopefully they won't)
