Our First Fish

I'm so excited! My children and I are now the proud owners of three little female platys

They are called Francesca, Fiona and Flame (I know, I know, don't blame me ). They have just moved into the tank and are currently hiding behind the plants at the back. Hopefully they'll soon start to explore a bit more.

Don't know the technical names for the colours, but one is silver with an orange tail, one is orange with black fins and tail, and the last one is orange with black spots.

I love my little fishies already!

They are out and exploring now, that didn't take long! The tank still looks really empty though as the platys are tiny. I feel another trip to the fish shop coming on in a couple of weeks.

Ohhhh! Iam excited for you! I love platys, they are my absolute, without a doubt favourite fish! Such lovely characters and they will start to recognise you before too long and come out to meet you! The names are gorgeous! I name all of mine, i have Scottie, Bobbie, Sammy, Misty, Mary, Wooster, Hinge, Bracket, Grant and Phil! You will fall completely in love with them! Congrats on your fish!

I will try photos tomorrow, been out all day at a theme park!

The girls are all taking some food, and swimming around happily today. They are active and colourful, and even seemed to enjoy their water change! Must say they are delightful little fish, could be tempted to add a couple more to the group in due course
