OUCH!!!

YEsters day my convict (very young 1.5 inces long) ate my red platy. ripped it stomach right out and peck out its eyes! Wat should i do; A: Leave the dead corps in the tank so the convict can eat OR B: Tank it out.

Get rid of it roting fish will raise (I think ammonia?) All i know is u should take it out

TAKE IT OUT...NEVER leave a dead fish in the tank.

mwm is correct you should take it out asap as it will cause ammonia and will make the convict very sick.

Your post makes me nervous about my 3 one inch convicts(look at signature), in an adult cichlid tank though. Thanks for your warning and I'm very sorry to hear about your fish. What are you going to do with your convict now?
