What is the minimum number of otos you can have? (as they dont like to be on their own)

This really depends on how many your tank can handle without being over stocked and what fish your having with them. If you gave us more specifics on the ottos environment(size of tank, other fish companions, etc) we could further help you out.

it's 20g and theres 2 angels and a common plec as well

(i'm swopping the common plec for them)

up to you I would say four or five becasue your always going to have one that doesnt lik the car journey

4 is good number to have, just remember these won't graze along the bottom as much as pleco or a cory will. They'll mostly eat off live plants and algae on the walls.

do you think i could get some corys as well then? - bearing in mind if there is enough space?

Can i have any corys with 2 angels and some ottos in a 20 gallon??

(the angels are babies and will be swopped into a bigger one when i can get one..but will they be OK for now)

As long as the angels are moved when they get too big I'd think that would be fine. 4 ottos and 4 cories maybe?
