Ottos

just to ask about why my ottos are not eating the zucchini i put in for them, they are always munching on the (now scarce) algae on the glass so i was putting some blanched zucchini in for them with a stainless steel mini spoon. They just skim past it.
How can i make them recognize that this is food for them?

It can take fish a long time to recognise a new food source, and some otos never take to prepared foods

All you can do is keep offering things; try peas, blanched lettuce or melon rinds as well.

anyway this morning i noticed one of them sitting on top of the zucchini, nibbling away- phew

Another easy way to get algae, put a few stones in a dish of water. Swt it in a sunny window sill.
You could also try cucumber.
