Ottos, Got Them Back From The Lfs And

Just got them back from the LFS, which is a 80mile round trip away!!! and noticed the tail of the fish are erroding and not only that but one is missing it completely!

They are still in the bag, i am introducing them to the tank water and i just noticed!!

What the hell should i do! i can`t get to the LFS tonight and probably not until late tomorrow if that! Would it be a bad idea to introduce them into the tank and treat them?

I suppose just typing it , i know thats a daft idea, i better take them back tomorrow?

No - don't introduce them to the tank !
Do yo not have a spare tank / heater & filter? Or even spare bucket (with heater & filter) ?
Oto's are fairly fragile little things - introducing them into a fairly (still) new tank and then treating them might just prove too much. You stand a good chance of losing them all.

Yes i would issolate them if you can, sounds like they have bacterial finrot, how are they now.

same as, as brutal as it sounds, i am not introducing them into the tank! and i have no spare setup, i am affraid they are staying in the bag, in the tank until tomorrow morning. Someone is taking them back for me....but then what happens?!?!?
