So i currently have an TMC AquaGro MicroHabitat LED Lighting unit on my Arcadia Arc 20l, however I'm going to have my tank heavily planted and i feel that this lighting unit won't be strong enough to supply all the plants with adequate lighting, i have searched everywhere online and can't find any other suitable, better quality lighting. Price isn't an issue. I was just wondering if anyone has the same lighting unit as me and could possibly tell me if perhaps 2 of the led units would provide enough lighting or maybe another brand they have come across?. Any advice would be great! :)

If price isn't an issue then just get a bigger LED tile from the TMC range, the AquaGro 1000ND tile for one, there's plenty to choose from :)

Thanks for the reply Aquascaper. I actually did look into the bigger LED tiles from TMC but they are pretty big so i was unsure about them as I'm not really allowed to drill any holes in the ceiling/wall or however the mounting unit works, i need one what clips on. I was looking into the Eco-Aqua LED 30 Watt High Power Spotlight - Freshwater 5000K, but it seems that they are being used on much larger aquariums , 300l for example so a 20l will most defiantly not need so much lighting even though it will be heavily planted. I will be having plants what do require good lighting though but every good lighting i come across is for much larger aquariums.

I have looked up this brand , very good lighting. However one question i must ask , once again everyone is using them for much larger tanks, would too much light in such a small tank promote algae growth?

Could be but that's something you would need to work out yourself as I'm having enough trouble trying to work out what I need over my reef tank :)

An easier solution could be to invest in an identical until to the one you have?

Hey, here's a really useful link about the 30 Watt Spotlight

It looks like they tested it on a similar size tank as yours (they used a Do!aqua 30cm Cube Glass) and it worked out well. I've just been given the Arcadia 20l tank with the Ellipse light and I'm going to start setting it up this weekend. I'm completely new to fish keeping though, do you have any fish in yours?
