Oscars Are Breeding!

Hi Folks

One of my Oscars has been panting all day like he was too hot. Temp was fine so I just put it down to him having some gravel stuck in the back of his mouth. You know what they're like
Anyway, the same Oscar has spent the last two hours gentley swiming over a flat rock with his buddy doing the same. Or should I say her boyfriend! Starsky is now a girl Oscar. They are laying eggs as we speak. I've got a video of this happening and will post it up later. There are a coulple of hundred eggs and Starsky is still laying.
This is the first time they have laid so we'll see if they get it right first time.
I'll keep you all updated.

Thats awesome, saw a guy buy a 10 inch oscar when I paid a visit to a LFS today, what size tank are they in?

HEY. how kool, i had two tiger oscars but due to their sizr we had to take them back to the shop. ours were a breeding pair too, but cos they got too big in such a short space of time we never saw them breed. well gutted. keep us posted would love to watch their progress!!! Lou
