First id like to thank everyone in TFF for all the very knowledgeable advice on how to best address the situation, and yes i know he needs a bigger tank and i promise you its coming!!!!
Morning after incident i did a water change. Day 2 i fed him like normal and continued monitoring his activities. Day 3 (today) my oscar jumped out of his tank before i could even drop the food into his tank!!! MY BABY IS BACK!!!
No swelling occurred post accident, no feeding problems, no digestive problems, the debris on his head came off and he does not appear to have any mental trauma.
early in my oscars life he would spend most of his time laying against decor or just floating at the bottom of the 30gal tank, later (4 days ago) i found out that oscar do this because they feel defeated, uncomfortable, submissive, and in general not happy. but after some time of getting use to me. he has begun playing with me, jumping out of the tank trying to touch my finger. since then i have not seen him touch the bottom of his tank unless there's food, meaning ill continue playin with him even though many of u advice i not continue this action.
i introduced him to a pea for the first time today!!! and he stared at it, nibbled then stared some more... once ate the pea and it registered to him as 'good' he shot to the top of the tank demanding more and once i drop one in he instantly eats it and repeats lol i fed him 4 until he felt heavy lol, ill be giving him an hour to digest then ill do a water change.
Thanks again to everyone who was generous enough to give me their time and wisdom in my time of need, me and my oscar highly appreciate it!!! As well as all my fish including me appreciate everyone in the TFF!!!
