Oscar Trouble!

help. i dont really know much about treating fish since im relativly new to fishkeeping. i have isolated 1 of my usually very lively small oscar because he was sitting in a corner of the tank all day long looking like he was gasping for air. he seemed to have been attacked cause he had a small peice of his fin missing. i isolate him in a fresh 10 gallon tank and i need help with what to do. other tank these symptoms he has no others. ho hith, no wounds, nothing but the gasping and the not swimming.

questions?.....

do i add a filter i have a extra hob power filter that i used in my 40 gallon that i can take out and use it in the hoptial tank? or just an airstone?

i also have these meds...

ap pro? quick cure - used to treat ick, gasping,flicking, parasites, fluck, costia, chilodonella, trichodina.

melafix?

salt?

i can goto my lps tomorow but would like to do something today.

Wiith out knowing anything else, raise heat by 2d and add Aq salt, for a 10 g it would be 2 table spoons. I would also add the filter and a air stone.
