I woke this morning to my oscar trying to jump out of the tank and i can hear her lifting the glass lid. She has done this many times before and I have gone to check on her after she does it, and she just floats at the surface for a minute or two....Is she knocking herself out, and is there anyway I can get her to stop this!?

put her in a padded fish tank, lol

I think you fish is crazy

:p I joked with my boyfriend that we should put some foam padding on the glass lid....I have no idea what to do! I'm so worried about her...

I have had my oscar try to jump out of his tank as well. Do you weight the openning down with something? That can stop them from actually flying out of the tank. I don't know what can stop them from bashing themselves though. My oscar, Nibbler, actually managed to take a chunk out of his head when he smacked against the lid! He has healed fine but I wish I knew how to get them to stop! Maybe a toy would help keep it occupied? I have heard of people putting ping pong balls in for their oscars to play with.

dont worry about him, unless he is practically floating, itll be fine, oscars are soooo tuff. mine has jumped outt of the tank at feedign time several times, he never learns  and he is always fine, except this one time i got mad becuase he jumped out bit me in the chin then back in to the tank! but anyway, somtimes they just get excited lol

edit: sorry i called her a he, and also what is the temp of your tank, i find if the temp in my tank is a bit high, the oscar gets really excited and jumps alot, just me 2 cents
