what did the LFS test for? (only ask as mine only does pH )

i'd definately suggest a water change though

it kind of looks like a burn

It's as if a layer of skin has been removed or something horrid.

the fish shop in india lol well idk what that is i hope t wouldn't spread to the other oscar i have in my tank any remedy to it well the water sats came in normal no ammonia or nitrite and may i know how this happened???

p.s. correct me if i'm wrong but lfs does mean local fish shop right :p i'm still relatively new around still getting a hang of the abbreviations

Have the fish been fighting recently?

anyother fish that could of attacked it? it literally looks like the skin has been pulled/burnt off  poor guy

Yes, LFS is local fish shop

i know but i can assure you nothing of that sort was done by me i don't think the other oscar in the tank is capable of doing it either he's smaller than this one and they get around quite well

no i only have these 2 in the 65 gal tank no decorations or anything blunt gravel idk what went wrong he was active and well the other day i got busy yesterday and today i come home and realise this has happened when i was changing the water he did look a bit lazy in the morning i ignored it as i had no time for a second look

Erm, do you have any sharp rocks or anything in your tank?

i really don't know what else to suggest apart from keeping any eye on him incase it gets worse and doing water changes maybe every other day to try get it healing back up, hopfully someone with more experience with oscars (as i have none) may have seen something similar and know how to advise you.

Have you recently treated your tank with anything that he could have instantly swam into a cloud of?

well this is my first pair of oscar i just hope i find some answers waiting

nope i use no medications whatsoever both the fishes were healthy anyways and all i use is anti chlorine that to during water changes so no

I'm sorry I can't help you, I'm sure many of the more experienced members of this forum will have an idea what is wrong. Good look mate! :good:

thanks bro for the quick reply :)

well i just did a water change before posting a 100% i first thought it was itch so i don't know if i did more damage :(

Hopefully if you do regular water changes and keep an eye on the little guy you can't go wrong. Hopefully somebody will be able to determine what is wrong soon.
