So I have a male and Female oscar in a 75g Tank. They are constantly opening their mouths and pushing eachother also chasing eachother as well. I have never had this happen. Both are new to the tank. What is wrong with this? Are they just showing their domenance?

Hmmm I don't know much about oscars, but I know 75 g is too small for two, and you should probably keep two females together instead for less aggression.

Good luck

well first off, u cant just choose which sex of oscar u want... its impossible, probably just showing signs of being an oscar...

too little space for both, they need to find their own territory, upgrade to a 100 gal. or sell one of the oscars

Read my pinned topic first it will explain whats going on ib your tank and it sounds like 2 males or females but i might be wrong. The longer there in there the worse the fighting will get.

If they keep it up you need to seperate them. I've seen an Oscar rip the the lower lip completely off another in a liplock fight - not a pretty sight. 75 gallons can support a compatable pair of Oscars that are half grown, but it is certainly much too small for two random Oscars of any reasonable size.

:( They seem to just agrevate eachother everyonce in awhile. Then other times they swim together for hours and brush up against eachother like young lovers... Something is wrong. But when they seem to "fight" they are definately not doing any harm towards eachother. If I got rid of one of the oscars would it be possible to put anyother type of fish in there? Cause it seems to have just my one oscar in there is a waste of a 75g tank. Right or Wrong?

well, thats sort of a sacrifise with oscars... u might be able to put some sort of plec in there... or maybe a severum
