Hey

For my stocking plan for my 75

I was planning on ther following

I know this is overstocked, just tell me if if might still work with alot of filteration

1 tiger oscar
1 firemouth
3 silver dollars
1 common pleco

will this still be OK

thanks

they all sound reasonable except for the firemouth i have no idea how big it grows or wat it looks like

i would also drop the firemouth and add a silver dollar. the plec would be fine, though, i would think.

Well I'm thinking about plec poop... Oscar poop is bad enough.. adding a plec is just going to make it that much worse.

Yeah don't forget that that plec is going to outgrow that tank in the future, if you want a plec look for one thats going to stay smaller than a common. :good:

i've an oscar with a firemouth in a 75g, however they're both still young and they'll be moving to a 6x2x2 next yr. I don't think the tanks big enough for all those long term, but it could maybe work for a yr or so, just depends how old the fish are when you get them, then you have to make plans for re-homing, weather that's getting a bigger tank or passing them on to someone with a bigger tank. Personally I wouldn't.

I'd get an Oscar a firemouth and a smaller than common plec

I'm going with Sam on this, with an oscar needing a minimum of 75g.

The common plec will grow to big and big produce so much waste.

The silver dollars like shoals so would need a group of 6 IMO.

So personally i wouldn't add any tankmates to an oscar in a 75g except maybe one thing at a 'push'.

Also you need to take into consideration the oscars temperment, if it will except other tankmates or not.

:good:
