Can anyone tell me approximately how old a 3-4 tiger oscar is?

Is it easy to tell the sex?

I would say less than 5 months, if given proper care and water quality.

Its notoriously difficult to sex oscars, near impossible. To sex them, either watch a breeding pair or vent them. Venting requires the fish to be taken out of the water and looking at its erm..'special area'.
