i recently started treating my tank using Maracyn and Marycyn-Two. well, before this my white micky mouse platy was all white. now she has a yellow-orange streak that is on the top of her spine and going back into her tail. it's not in the tail yet but its right before it. i never noticed it before. could this be a negative reaction to the meds or is she just a victim of a died fish? her white on her is kinda transparent so i doubt she was died white. maybe she was died orange at some point?

here's a pic... please hurry (sorry the pic didn't come out well but its the best i could do. She NEVER stays still!)

the marking starts right behind her head, follows her spine and then goes strait down right before her tailfin (all on the body none on the fins)

How long has this taken to come about? Personally i cannot see the line, she looks like a healthy platy to me :| .

it coulda been part of her coloring all the time, but i didn't see it until i started my tank on meds. i was told that maracyn and maracyn- two work really well for the tail/fin/everything else that could go wrong epidemic. so i was checking on my fish because the last meds i treated them with didn't work to well (triple sulfa) and someone suggested i try this. well it worked miracles and the fish look a heck of a lot better now in just one dose. but the tank got really cloudy (since triple sulfa requires you to take out the carbon in your filter) so i didn't see it all that well. she's doing fine but someone in the emergency section (i posted it there too) posted a link and the stuff in the site sounds like what she might have

and when i read the site it does look more like a yellow brown coloring (brown looks kinda like orange on a light fish :D ) it said to treat with Maracyn, Maracyn-Two combined, and thats what i'm doing. funny how everything always gets cured best by combining both these slightly more expensive meds. i mean i can kind of afford it but still why can't they just make one med that you put into the tank by itself instead of having to buy multiple in order for it to work effectively? i gues its so the dose would be less so you can use it with scaless fish
