Orange Spotted Pleco

I have an orange spotted pleco, I need to downsize from my 5ft tank to a 4ft. He is about 15cm, would he be okay on his own for a few weeks in a 2ft (60L) whilst I get a new tank organised?

You would need to get a positive ID on the Plec as ive heard Gibbi's and Commons called orange mottled/spotted plecs before.
