hi all heres a bit of a better pic side on of her if you look theres a big black /dark patch its about 3 quarters way up then shes clear see through ,the pic of phone may not be great but is she pregnant or just fat !?

Going by this picture she is definitly pregnant, balloon mollies tend to drop every 4-6 weeks, but in my past years of experience with them, its more at the 5-6 week mark..

They are well known for holding on to fry to long, sometimes so long fry are born dead.

Your molly as ay least 1-2 weeks to go.

Ps, feed it more, so the belly is \___/ square.

does anybody know were i can get black worm as ive been told this is great for pregnant fish ive just got some micro worms for baby fry as my other guppy has just give birth lol so need lots of foods now haha i seem to be doing ok aswell not lost any yet fingers crossed ive over 100 babys now omg

Id jjust stick to microworms, bbs, crushed flake, crshed pellets, crushed protien foods, after 2 weeks (1 if they are big) start feeding them daphnia and bloodworm

im useing liquifry at the moment and there doing ok so u dont recomend blackworm then! its just i heared there good ,im trying to breed my fish and want whats best for them thanks

its fine to feed them yes but it can be a pain in the ass doing them

the list i gave you is what i have always used and they grow healthy and fast..

If you feed them the worms, still use the list as well

OMG please help i have a 2ft tank for babys when i got it i rinsed it out with hot water left it 24h to sort iteself out and did test everything great but now my amonia is of the scale i have lost most my babys still got sum but still , ive done a water change completely and put ammo lock and stress coat in what els can i do ?

oh my, the bacteria needed is in your filter. you have uncycled your aquarium i guess. you will have to let it cycle again. but with fry it shouldn't be toooo bad that they die cus they are so small.
did you use water conditioner?

ive put ammo lock in and stress coat my orange swordtail has give birth but there was more still born than live whats happening to my tank omg please help is there something els apart from water changes and ammo lock all my excitement has gone i was doing so well i check amonia , nitrite , nitrate regulare whats happening : :

sounds like she aborted her babies due to stress. just keep up with the water changes untill it is cycled properly. don't you worry your type of fish will give birth every 20-30 days anyhow so there is plenty of time to enjoy fry.

i know but feel ive failed ,ive even tested my house water to see if thats got amonia in and nitrate/ nitrite but is as clear as day nothing in my house water as i thought that would make it go so green for the amonia .i just cant understand why its gone so bad what does amonia do to the fish thats one thing i dont know lol ,i have a guppy still in the tank thats pregnant prob about a week to go and shes done ok at mo fingers crossed .should i still do full water changes or quarter , 3 quarter .and should i still add ammo lock and stress coat .

ammonia is waste, like they are swimming in a toilet lol
urin has ammonia if you want to think of it that way.

keep up with the water changes it will cycle sooner or later.
