I voted "not for me" as much as all living things are beautiful in their own way, and they would no doubt find homes, they just don't appeal to my sense of aesthetics.
A) I have a very monochromatic theme going with my fish, tending to stick with a "cool colors" palet so "warm" hues like red and orange are typically out.
B) to me the ones with limited red (either incomplete markings or minimal ones like the examples you posted) just kind of look injured (I know they aren't, but it just looks like bruises or blood stains on the fins) which would always bother me.

If you are looking for a large variety of color and marketable babies... I'd go for GREEN Dragons! They produce all kinds of variety and the Dragon Bettas are always going up in price these days. Plus metallics are very cool!

Of course everyone likes what they like, so if your into red wash... Go for it. But since it's a poll I figured I'd explain my answer.

If they aren't for you that's fine :)
I agree with you though, some look a little 'injured' ..but still adorable

Pleasant. I think I agree with the folks who say they don't like "pale" bettas as much, but tbh... I imagine they look very different in person rather than on pictures.

I have a bunch of Platinum Whites

(not opaque, but with metallic sheen) as well as a couple Platinum Black Dragons (metalic white body with black fins and "edges")

now...

I am kind of partial to the lighter shades... My personal taste though is for a strong balance of clearly marked colors as opposed to a partial light marking.

One of my young Platinum Whites has some blue "bleeding through" under his white on his pectorals and anal fin as well as his beard... It isn't enough to REALY qualify as "marking", it's just you can tell he is "blue UNDER the white" in a couple places... Makes kind of a "dirty" or "incomplete" look to him that I don't really care much for. But the blue "dirty white" looks more pleasing to me than it would if it were red, because as I mentioned earlier, the red sort of looks like an injury even if it's just his coloration.

I think crisp markings can be very pretty in the right arrangements, it's the "dirty white" or "incomplete" markings that I'm not the biggest fan of

Those two above would be in my tank ASAP if I could find them for sale, hah.

I love Bettas! Casper (pictured in my avatar) came to us "second hand". I love the solid colours, the gradual change into darker/lighter shades, also love different coloured fins, but I would not buy a marbled one! :look:

LadyDragon...is that your white betta in the first picture? More to my interest...is that your orange betta in the background? I've never one that color, but I'm not sure if it's just the lighting or the actual fish.
