No idea. :hyper:

I know this is just about the most useless answer I could give but I think your thread is going to go unanswered if it doesn't get bumped back up to the top where it will be seen by more people.

Please dont tell me off mods :D

to advise how many cm of fish you can have, we need to know the dimensions fo the tank. :)

I'm not sure about mixing the gouramis. often it's not a good idea to mix labyrinth fish cos they might harrass eahc other, but I havn't personally tried it with those fish, hopefully a gourami expert will wander in. ;)

As they are mainly dwarf gouramis, it should be fine. The only harrasment should be males after females :)

I would either get the 4 x sparkling gourami or the 3 x dwarf/honey gourami, i wouldn't advise for you to go for both.

Sparkling gourami are very small fish, and are quite shy and should be kept with other peaceful fish. Dwarf gourami and become quite aggresive at time which will upset the sparklers.

Basic information on the species can be found here http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=35158 writtne by juliethegr8t . Although it's a profile for croaking gourami, the conditions required by sparkling gourami (also known as dwarf croaking gourami) is pretty much the same

And all that being said, if you are combining bottom, top and middle feeders/dwellers in 1 tank you can often put in more fish than the rule of thumb suggests, because they're not all competing for the same space! That being said, go with the calculator for now. Better safe than sorry since none of us are raising sardines in the tin.

Dwarf gouramies and honey dwarf gouramies are both the same species so avoid putting two males with a single female or they will drive her crazy... Stick to two males instead (which are quite peaceful in this species) or get a few more females if your tank will allow for it (not sure on dimensions or gallonage).
I also agree that you should either go for one species or the other and keep in mind that most gouramies preffer the top layers so you have an empty bottom layer you can fill with some kind of cory (provided the tank is big enough) - they are great fish in groups of four.

In my experience with Red Honey Gouramis they are mid to bottom dwellers mainly, but they do move around a lot. Whilst they do feed at the surface they also eat a little algae, so they'll be eating from the side of the glass and bottom of the tank, oh and the pellets you feed your Cories with... Having said that I've got Corys, Mollies and 3 Gouramis in my tank and not had a problem as yet, I've got 1 male and 2 females and they are fine with each other.
