Opaline Gourami

Hi all, could I have some advise please. One of my opauline gourami's has always been smaller and not growing as quick as the other that I bought at the same time and today i noticed he's got a red patch under one of his eyes, what could this be ? My water stats are fine, i've had them about 6 months, and the other tankmates include some cory julli's, rosey tetra's and a silver shark. Any help is much appreciated

Can you issolate him for treatment.
The red patch is it beneath the skin.
Any signs of flcking and rubbing.
The red patch any circling of white dead tissue around the edges.

i can't isolate him for treatment as i've only got the one tank, the red patch doesn't look like its under the skin or any white around the edges either and he doesn't seem to be rubbing !! Hope this helps

I would treat the red patch as bacterial then.
Don't forget to increase aeration in the tank as med reduce 02 in the water.
