OK I just did my partial water change and went to add my dechlorinator...... I have a ten gallon tank and my bottle has a measuring cap. The measuring cap has a hash mark for measuring 1ml, 5ml, and 10ml of solution. I thought the proper amount of solution was 10ml per 10 gallons of water but I read the label after putting the solution in and it says only to add 1ml per 10 gallons of water. That does not seem like very much solution, is that right? Also is that really bad that I added 10 times the directed amount? :look:

Nope, it's not harmful to the fish at all. Most conditioners can be used as a stress reliever, so you may have done a good thing. :)

Most de-chlor is fine up to 500 times the stated dose, so no worries.

A number are around 1ml per 10 gallons. If you use the active ingredient (Sodium thiosulphate) then you need a very small amount to be effective.

OK awesome! My water is veeeery chlorinated, to the point of actually "bleeching" so to speak our clothes sometimes when we wash them!!! I hate it, so I think I will add extra conditioner to the water every time. Thanks!
