I finally bought some new community fish.
That's right, not new bettas!! I decided to try new species, wahookie!
First, I found some cories in a tank by themselves which was supposed to have tetras and a fire eel in it. I'd seen them a week ago and wanted them, so I'm glad they were still there. Reason I wanted them? I hadn't ever seen them before!!
So I knew they were somethin special...
The girl working there was convinced they were "spotted" cories without the dark dorsal.
I knew they weren't, but she wouldn't listen, so I got them for 3 bucks each, same price as the cories in the tank next door. Fine with me!
Took awhile to ID them, and I've decided on "Elegant Cory" - C. Elegans. They're beautiful boys. I am now wishing I had got one of the "lighter" colored ones, those are girls.
Maybe I'll go back...
So anyways, they're shy right now, but here is one.
