Hi all

Our first lot of guuppy fry are staring to show their colours (gorgeous) and sex.

We have approx. 35 bigger fry but only seem to be able to see 2 males. I know it could still take some time for the sex to develop, but is it possible that out of all these fry there could only be a few males?

Just a quick note - we had about 50 guppy fry and 30 molly. All healthy thank goodness. These 2 fish seem to be birthing partners, last month they gave birth on the same day too. We lost all the mollies last time so very happy they have all survived.

hi,
like you we had a good batch of guppy fry that are showing the sex, at the moment it seems we have 4 male the other 20 seem to be female as most have a gravid spot, im giving them 1-2 weeks to make sure then i will decide where they go. :)

I also have some guppy and molly fry, I can sex most of the first batch of guppy and molly. Mine also very little male compared to female for guppy; while there are more male to female for molly.

The mother for the guppy is yellow and red in clour while the father is dark blue, and their fry got red, dark blue, light blue, yellow, black,... all are having different combinations of colours. Very interesting. :)
