Onion Plant?s

hey i just got some nice looking onion plantsat petsmart today, dont ussualy shop there but couldnt resiste these, anyway how do i plant them, just the roots? or the onion part to?

just the roots otherwise the onion will rot, it can be trfrustrating if you have any bottom feeders that like to dig or a bit heavy handed!

They grow huge, mine got to just under 4ft in 2 month!!
