we are treating the fish for white spot but found a white lump on the head of one of the black neon tetras we have

Looks like fungus. Like cotton wool. I'm sorry I can't remembr the name of the treatment but it is an easy med to find on the shelves. It might be worth your while buying a few meds for different problems just to have at hand, just in case
If it's what I think. It doesn't look advanced. I hope it's sorted soon.

We have been putting pimafix in doesnt seem to be doing anything though

Primafix isnt strong enough really.

Is their any colouration to the lump ? Anything protruding from it ? Could it be an ulcer ?
