Yesterday evening my black streaked lace angelfish refused food,started to breath heavily and this morning she died presumably of some internal problem as when I removed her body and examined it there was a little blood and swelling around her anus/egg depositor area (I'm really gutted as she was my favorite a truely beautiful fish 
).
What concerns me now though is her partner and what to do about him. When I bought them they were already a pair in the lfs's tank that is swimming together and even hiding in the corner together when the lfs man put in his net to catch them(a strong bond then I would say).
So should I buy him a new friend? Will he tolerate another angel? If I do get him a new friend what happens if it is male, can two males live together? and if I get lucky and pick another female will he pair with her???
