yes, here he is

ventrals in this one is much much much longer but his dorsal isnt perfect as i wouldve liked but they are both holding pk so im not too worried

but sods law they both turn out the same sex

Gorgeous......are these keepers or for sale :p

Tease :p

Well if you do decide to let them go, give me a shout :good:

BTW.....I managed to get a pic of our PK x CT female. Put it in the Tequila thread....would like your opinion on her please. We really need to reduce the tail length in the F2s and wondered whether her back with Dad would do that but still retain the ray extension.

oh yeah, i see her, theres 3 ways you can go, firstly you've introduced the ct gene that needs to be kept stable, by crossing back into the pk father you will be "reducing" the ct gene but it wont completely vanish, you could work with this and then cross the best fry that show extensions to give the pkct with longer extns or you could cross with a sibling and produce a long finned version of what you trying to acheive, this is "addition" but you are likely to get a fair few normal ct coming through, then cross that next lot of fry for "reduction" purpose to shorten the extensions.

thirdly, you could use one of the males with a ct or the mother if she is still alive, this i would favour more as the female genetics tend to have a stronger holding and with this hoping that you get a few pk throw backs with the extns to work with.

Its a matter of finding a way that will give an almost even amount of both strains become apparent in the resulting fry.

Thanks Daz.....we do still have Mum & Dad and we also have a sibling male that we could use. I was really surprised at how long the males fins have turned out and really want to reduce the length as they look like VTs with ray extentions lol but still very pretty.

I think we'll either go with putting her back with Dad or the boy back with Mum :good: Or maybe we'll just try all 3
