so yeah. one of my cardinals has a signifigant color loss. twas gone a week. my brother was in charge. I'm wondering what is wrong. I seriously dobut NTD. In my experince , it is USUALLY lack of oxygen, and the 1 gallon has a pretty stong oxygen. My betta seems to have taken well to him. maybe even frightened. and it seems a bit hardier than it was in the 10 gallon (the tetra). But what should i do? noner of the other cardinals show this! help!

how often do you do water changes and when was the last one? how many other cardnals do you have in the same tank?

right now i have 4x cardinals, 1x neon tetra, and 1x flow light tetra that school together.

Water changes are weekly and 25%, last one was yesterday.

Stats would be good in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, going pale is a sign of stress and desease, cardinals don't get ntd, so i doubt its that, any laboured breathing or flicking and rubbing on objects, any swelling in the belly region, check gills to see if they look pale, excess mucas on them, or red and inflamed.
Is the fish still eating.

sigh... the fish is no longer eating, because he is no longer alive. This morning, he was looking a tad bettr. But then i found him going in seizures on his side later... I guess he was just too far....

thanks for trying to help guys...

Sorry R.I.P. bless him, seen that all to often as well, always wary when they are looking better, as they soon take a turn for the worse and go down hill again.
