Ok i can deal with removing a fish when its dead. [hasn't happened yet with this tank though, knock on wood!!] but I just turned the lights on in my tank and my tiny adf is presumably dead stuck to the filter. I can't bear to take him out I just dont think I can do it. What should I do? I'm kind of upset, and I'm a big baby when it comes to animals especially my frogs.
:rip: trevor.

Sorry, I no it's awful one you lose a fish to the filter, you will have to remove him as he will alter your test reading.

how should i take him out? I mean I know I have to as soon as possible but... oh dear. Should I turn off the filter for a sec. I'm scared that if I feel resistance from the intake when I try to pull him off I'll do something stupid like drop it or break my filter or something. I know I'm a big wimp!! Poor little guy.

Yes turn the filter off, then remove him, I've had to do it and i was squeamish.

aww my adf's died unexpectedly a few weeks ago. i made one of my hallmates remove them from my tank and deal with it. i just couldn't, i was too attached and it made me really sad.

Sorry about your little guy. :-(

I keep rubber gloves and/or a small fish net handy. :/

Well everyone I did it earlier today i turned off the filter and sort of let him fall [gracefully] off of it into my fish net. :-( So that kind of made me sad for a little while. But I still have my other little frog and she is healthy as can be, eating like a little pig and what not. Thanks for all your help everyone.
