I have 4 shrimp labelled as 'freshwater shrimp' from my LFS. Over the last few days I've noticed one of the shrimp has a sort of green patch just above its head, it looks like perhaps lots of little circles rather than one big lump. The shrimp is otherwise acting normally. I didn't think it would be eggs as I thought they were carried underneath. I'm worried because I lost a cory recently and I want to know ASAP if it could be a fungal infection. Trying to get a picture as I type.

Here's a picture, my shrimp like to hide in the fairly dense planted area of my tank so this fella was hard to spot -

I think it's probably just markings on the shrimp. If they're clear shrimp, it's likely that you can see their little brain cells through their head (aww...). Some shrimp have different colours depending on the lighting as well.
I've never seen or heard of a green fungus; they're usually white and 'fluffy', and only set in once there's some other kinf of infection

There are tons of "freshwater shrimp". Grab a Google pic if you cant post your own, it'll help identify whats up.

Without a pic of yours it would be almost impossible to tell. It could be molting? They lose their skin every no and then as they grow. It could also be natural colouring coming out :D

I've posted a picture now in the OP, what do you think?

some have a natural green "saddle" (i think i read that somewhere) that could be it... or maybe just some plants its ate?

Potentially a Ghost shrimp, but cant really tell, the picture isnt particularly clear. Are you able to get one of the head?

None of the other shrimp have any green on them, I would be surprised if only one of them ate that much algae. I don't have a good growth of algae in my tank as its only been going since september (and I don't have a very plant-friendly light). I drop in algae wafers for the corys every night, but I took this picture before I dropped the algae wafers in.
